Meet Edna
My grandmother Edna is the inspiration behind the name of our organization. She was a mother of nine children. She had plenty of love, but struggled to provide for her children. My mother, the oldest of the nine, told me stories of how God provided for their family. Just like the loaves and fish, through God's gift of abundance, a few hand-me-down clothes were able to clothe her family.
Today many mothers still struggle to provide for their children. Children go to school wearing shoes that are too small on their feet. Some only have one outfit to wear for the week. Expectant mothers worry that they won't have clothes for their baby. Mothers try to get a better job, but don't have the appropriate business attire. Times are very tough and even a dollar can be too much money to spend on clothing.
